Job Title: Sales Manager Hotel

Job Summary
The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for generating room, banquet, and overall hotel revenue by developing corporate, travel trade, and event business. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, increasing occupancy, maximizing average room rate (ARR), and achieving assigned sales targets while maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly and annual room, banquet, and corporate sales targets
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for corporate, MICE, travel agents, and group business
- Generate new business through cold calls, client visits, networking, and market surveys
- Maintain and grow existing corporate and travel trade accounts
Client & Account Management
- Conduct regular client meetings, hotel site inspections, and presentations
- Negotiate corporate contracts, rate agreements, and banquet packages
- Ensure timely contract renewals and rate revisions
- Handle client feedback and ensure service recovery when required
Market & Business Development
- Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and demand patterns
- Identify new market segments and business opportunities
- Participate in sales calls, trade fairs, exhibitions, and roadshows
Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, Banquet, and Revenue teams for smooth execution of bookings
- Ensure accurate booking details, billing instructions, and follow-ups
- Support the Revenue Manager in rate strategy and forecasting
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Maintain updated client database and CRM records
- Track production, revenue performance, and sales pipelines
Required Skills & Competencies

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Result-oriented with strong market knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Proficiency in hotel PMS, CRM, and MS Office
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, or Business Administration
- MBA / PG Diploma in Sales & Marketing is an added advantage
Experience
- 37 years of hotel sales experience
- Strong exposure to Corporate, MICE, and Travel Trade sales
- Experience in mid-scale to luxury hotels preferred
