Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Guwahati. The Sales Manager will lead and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and branch sales targets for life insurance and related financial products. Responsibilities include planning and executing local sales strategies, conducting regular field visits, coaching team members, and ensuring a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and relationship-building. The role involves building and managing relationships with customers, partners, and local distribution channels while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies. The Sales Manager will also monitor performance metrics, prepare periodic sales reports, and collaborate with internal stakeholders for training, product updates, and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing life insurance or financial services deals.
  • Proven team leadership and people management capabilities, including mentoring, performance monitoring, and coaching for results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for client engagement and relationship management.
  • Sound understanding of insurance or financial products, with the ability to provide clear, needs-based advice to customers.
  • Ability to work on-site in Guwahati, with readiness for fieldwork, local travel, and meeting performance targets under defined timelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; prior experience in life insurance or financial services sales is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic MS Office tools and CRM systems; comfort with digital tools and online sales/service platforms.
  • High level of integrity, customer-centric mindset, and adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards.
