Role & responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities within the contract logistics market by building relationships with potential clients.
- Responsible for understanding their supply chain needs, and presenting customized solutions that leverage the company's warehousing, transportation, and value-added services, ultimately driving revenue growth through new client acquisition and account management.
- Proactively prospect and generate leads through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships.
- Develop customized contract logistics solutions tailored to each client's specific requirements, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and value-added services.
- Prepare detailed proposals outlining the proposed solution, pricing structure, and value proposition to present to potential clients.
- Deliver persuasive presentations to key decision-makers at prospective clients, highlighting the benefits of the company's contract logistics services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, proactively addressing their needs and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients to secure profitable contracts, including pricing, service levels, and contract terms.
- Actively manage the sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and forecasting revenue.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within thecontract logisticsindustry.
- Bachelors degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
