Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to drive business growth across South Zone. The ideal candidate will have strong on-ground sales execution capability, an existing network in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation space, and the ability to communicate fluently with local healthcare professionals and institutions. This is a revenue-critical, field-focused role requiring deep market penetration across clinics, hospitals, and rehabilitation centres in the South India.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Generation

Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.

Identify, prospect, and convert new customers including physiotherapy clinics, rehabilitation centres, hospitals, orthopaedic departments, and sports medicine facilities etc.

Manage the complete sales cycle — from lead generation and product demonstration to negotiation and order closure.

Maintain an updated sales pipeline in CRM tools and provide accurate revenue forecasts to leadership.

Drive aggressive territory expansion by identifying untapped micro-markets within the assigned geography.

2. Key Account & Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), physiotherapists, orthopaedic surgeons, and institutional procurement heads.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts — ensuring high customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular follow-up visits and clinical reviews to strengthen engagement and identify upsell / cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop referral pipelines through satisfied customers and clinical champions.

3. Product Promotion & Market Development

  • Conduct in-clinic product demonstrations, hands-on trials, and group workshops to educate healthcare professionals on the clinical benefits of PEMF and rehabilitation devices.
  • Prepare and deliver customised value propositions based on the customer's clinical needs and buying motives.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge to handle clinical queries, objections, and competitive comparisons confidently.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute CMEs (Continuing Medical Education events), conferences, webinars, and product launch activities in the territory.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback; relay insights to the product and marketing teams.
  • Develop and support distributor/dealer networks, ensuring alignment with company sales strategy and brand standards.

4. Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and competitive intelligence in the CRM system.
  • Submit daily call reports, expense statements, and monthly sales review dashboards on time.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with medical device regulations, company ethics policies, and applicable legal standards.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device or healthcare sales.
  • Prior experience in physiotherapy, orthopaedic, or rehabilitation equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills — ability to communicate both clinical and commercial value effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, comfortable engaging with clinical as well as administrative stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM platforms preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

What We Offer

  • Competitive fixed CTC with an attractive performance-linked incentive structure tied directly to revenue achievement.
  • Monthly travel allowance and expense reimbursement as per company policy.
  • Comprehensive product and clinical training with ongoing field support.
  • A dynamic, results-driven culture with strong leadership visibility and fast career progression.
  • Clear pathways to Senior Sales Manager, Regional Manager, or National Sales leadership roles based on performance.
