About the Role
The National Head Education Loan (Domestic) is responsible for leading and scaling the education loan business across India. This role involves managing a team of Regional Heads, building strategic partnerships with colleges and universities, and driving business through multiple channels including DSAs, online aggregators, bank branches, and digital platforms.
The incumbent will oversee disbursement targets, cross-sell initiatives, team productivity, and partner training, while also analyzing business trends and exploring new growth opportunities. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping the education loan portfolio and ensuring sustainable profitability and customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Regional Heads to achieve targeted disbursement volumes.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with colleges, institutes, and universities to expand the partner network.
- Generate business through diverse channels such as DSAs, online aggregators, bank branches, and digital platforms.
- Drive cross-sell of financial products including insurance and credit cards.
- Enhance team productivity through training, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Train partners on product features, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze business trends and identify new avenues for growth.
- Design and execute contests and rewards & recognition (R&R) programs to motivate and engage the team.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Recommend process changes to improve service efficiency and customer experience across regions.
- Suggest improvements to policies and procedures across Retail Banking to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage synergies and support business expansion.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Full time graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in retail banking, sales leadership, or education finance within BFSI industry.
