Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Vellore. The Sales Manager will lead and manage a local sales team, set clear targets, and monitor performance to drive loan and financial product growth across designated channels. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and channel distributors, and identifying new business opportunities in the region. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with credit, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth onboarding, compliance with internal policies, and high-quality customer experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching team members, tracking market trends and competition, preparing sales reports and forecasts, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably within NBFCs, banks, or other financial services organizations.
- Strong skills in team leadership, performance management, and sales coaching to build and guide high-performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability in business development, customer relationship management, and channel partnership management.
- Solid understanding of retail and SME lending products, credit processes, and regulatory requirements in the Indian financial sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and close deals.
- Comfort with data analysis, sales forecasting, and use of CRM or sales tracking tools to drive decisions and performance.
- Ability to work on-site in Vellore, with strong local market knowledge and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
