Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Kolhapur. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving life insurance sales, achieving monthly and quarterly targets, and managing a high-performing team of insurance consultants and frontline sales professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing local sales strategies, assigning and monitoring targets, coaching team members, and conducting regular performance reviews. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and branch stakeholders, as well as organizing customer meetings, presentations, and outreach activities to promote Bajaj Life products. The Sales Manager will also track market trends, provide feedback to product and marketing teams, ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies, and maintain accurate sales reports and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales leadership skills, including target setting, pipeline management, and performance tracking in financial services or insurance.
  • Strong people management capabilities, with experience in recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating a field or branch-based sales team.
  • Customer relationship management skills, including negotiation, objection handling, cross-selling, and retention of key clients.
  • Business development abilities, such as identifying local market opportunities, building partnerships, and executing territory-level sales plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial products in clear, simple language.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills, including comfort with sales dashboards, MS Excel, and basic CRM tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant certifications in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
