Salary: CTC Rs. 8.0 to 12.0 LPA plus perks
Overview
- Designation: Sales Manager - Aroma Ingredients
- Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemistry (preferred)
- Relevant industry: Aromatic chemicals, fragrance & flavour ingredients, essential oils
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in the aromatic chemicals industry
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle in the assigned geography: lead generation, handling enquiries, preparing quotations, order confirmation, execution and after-sales service.
- Proactively plan sales activities to achieve targets, including preparing a daily office itinerary and a weekly client visit schedule.
- Coordinate sampling and follow-up for new product development or customer-specific briefs until customer approval is obtained.
- Forecast demand for existing and approved products, coordinate with production for planning, and ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to secure repeat business and align deliveries with client requirements.
- Collaborate with agents and distributors to pursue bulk orders, gather market intelligence and support competitive pricing decisions.
- Organise regular business tours and client visits (typical cycles every 15 days) for order follow-up, sample approvals and forecast confirmation.
- Handle customer complaints promptly, investigate root causes and ensure effective, documented resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, streamline processes and improve service delivery.
- Maintain accurate sales documentation and timely communication with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemistry or a related science.
- Excellent olfactory skills (candidates will be required to complete an internal smelling test).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Solid project management skills; disciplined and process-oriented.
- Creative thinker with practical, implementable ideas.
- Good understanding of product functionality, technical capabilities, consumer needs and different market segments.
