Role Objective
The Sales Head West & South India will be responsible for building, leading, and scaling the complete regional sales ecosystem across West and South India for a fresh microgreens and premium food supply business operating on a FOCO / franchise-based model.
This role requires a strategic yet hands-on sales leader capable of driving predictable monthly revenue, ensuring franchise-level sales health, and expanding institutional, HoReCa, and subscription-based channels across multiple high-growth markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
- Design and execute region-wise sales strategies across West & South India.
- Build monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans aligned with company growth targets.
- Create revenue forecasts, demand projections, and cash-flow predictability.
- Develop scalable, repeatable sales SOPs for a franchise-driven supply model.
- Set regional, city-wise, franchise-level, and executive-level targets.
2. Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Drive sales of fresh microgreens and premium produce across:
- Restaurants
- Cafes
- Hotels & Resorts (HoReCa)
- Gyms & wellness centers
- Corporate cafeterias
- Individual consumers via subscription models
- Build institutional and bulk supply pipelines with long-term contracts.
- Identify high-demand microgreen varieties using on-ground feedback and sales data.
- Scale recurring revenue through B2B and subscription-based accounts.
3. Sales Funnel & Lead Generation
- Design and optimize structured sales funnels (Lead Conversion Retention).
- Build systems for consistent, high-quality lead flow across regions and franchises.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on:
- Landing pages
- Lead forms
- Campaign structures
- Sales creatives and pitch formats
- Track and continuously improve conversion ratios and average order values.
4. Team Management
- Lead and mentor city-wise sales managers and executives across West & South India.
- Allocate and monitor lead distribution across franchise territories.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics.
- Conduct sales reviews, audits, and corrective action meetings.
- Ensure city-wise and franchise-wise targets are consistently achieved.
5. Franchise Sales Enablement
- Ensure every franchise unit receives adequate sales pipeline and enablement support.
- Monitor region-wise and city-wise franchise revenue health.
- Identify underperforming territories and deploy turnaround strategies.
- Train teams on:
- Pitch and positioning
- Pricing and negotiation
- Objection handling
- Retention and upselling techniques
6. Pricing, Pitch & Sales Tools
- Develop and optimize:
- Pricing structures
- Subscription and institutional pricing models
- Sales pitch decks and presentations
- Proposal and onboarding templates
- Implement and manage CRM, sales automation, and reporting dashboards.
- Standardize sales tools and communication across regions.
7. Market Expansion & New Channels
- Identify and launch new sales channels across West & South India.
- Build affiliate, referral, and partnership-based sales programs.
- Develop strategic partnerships with:
- Food distributors
- Nutrition and wellness brands
- Gym and fitness chains
- Cloud kitchens and food-tech platforms
- Identify market penetration gaps and execute expansion plans.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Marketing (lead generation, brand campaigns)
- Operations (supply planning, production forecasting)
- Align sales demand with production capacity and delivery execution.
- Act as the central coordination point between market demand and internal teams.
9. Reporting & Governance
- Maintain structured MIS and performance dashboards.
- Track regional, city-wise, and franchise-level sales performance.
- Present monthly and quarterly business reviews to leadership.
- Drive a data-driven, accountability-focused sales culture.
Key Requirements & Qualifications Mandatory
- 8+ years of experience in Fresh Food / FMCG / B2B Sales.
- Strong, proven experience in HoReCa sales channels.
- MBA in Sales / Marketing / Business Management (preferred).
- Experience managing large, multi-city and regional sales teams.
- Proven ability to manage 1 Cr+ monthly sales volumes.
- Deep understanding of:
- Distributor and channel sales
- Institutional and bulk sales
- Subscription-based business models
- Strong leadership, execution, and negotiation capabilities.
