Role Description
The Sales Executive will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, understanding customer requirements, preparing and communicating quotations, and converting enquiries into confirmed orders. The role involves direct customer interaction, site visits, coordination with internal teams, and ownership of the sales cycle from enquiry to order finalization.
- Customer Handling & Front-Line Sales
- Attend and respond to customer enquiries received via phone, email, WhatsApp, website, or referrals.
- Understand, analyse, and clearly document customer technical and commercial requirements.
- Answer all customer queries related to product specifications, applications, pricing, and timelines.
- Visit customers in Pune and outside Pune to:
- Explain products and solutions
- Demonstrate features or applications (where required)
- Discuss requirements in detail
- Finalise customer specifications and expectations
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers.
2. Quotation & Commercial Activities
- Collect all necessary technical details, drawings, samples, and specifications required for quotation preparation.
- Suggest the most appropriate product or solution based on customer requirements.
- Prepare accurate quotations using ERP / ZOHO as per company pricing and approval process.
- Communicate quotations clearly to customers and follow up for clarification, revisions, and approvals.
- Coordinate internally (production, engineering, purchase, etc.) to validate feasibility, lead time, and cost inputs when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
(Engineering preferred for technical products; not mandatory if relevant experience is strong)
- Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and basic documentation
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and local language (Marathi / Hindi)
- Willingness to travel for customer visits within Pune and outside Pune as required
