Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in the Pune Division. The Sales Engineer will identify and develop new business opportunities for air compressors, spare parts, AMCs, air treatment accessories, and air piping systems, while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Daily responsibilities include visiting customer sites, understanding technical and operational requirements, preparing and presenting tailored technical-commercial proposals, and following up on quotations to close sales. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and principals for technical support, ensuring accurate product selection, and providing pre- and post-sales guidance. The Sales Engineer will also handle basic troubleshooting discussions with customers, support service teams in resolving issues, and maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in line with company processes.
Qualifications
  • Proven skills in Sales Engineering and Sales, with the ability to translate technical features into clear commercial value for customers.
  • Experience in Technical Support and Customer Service, including handling inquiries, coordinating resolutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Strong Communication skills for engaging with customers, internal teams, and OEM partners, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic understanding of industrial equipment; experience with air compressors, piping, or related mechanical systems is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple customer requirements.
  • Comfort using CRM tools, email, and standard office productivity software for reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel within the Pune Division for customer visits, site assessments, and product demonstrations.
