Key Responsibilities:
- Drive pre-sales technical discovery and solutioning discussions with data architects, data engineers, DBAs, systems architects, and other technical professionals.
- Plan, manage, and close technical demonstrations and proof of concept (POC) projects, acting as both subject matter expert and project manager.
- Respond to technical enquiries including Requests for Information (RFIs), Proposals (RFPs), and similar formal documents.
- Enable Fivetran staff, partner teams, and the data engineering community on data concepts, product features, competitive positioning, and best practices through presentations, training, articles, videos, and coaching.
- Provide technical guidance and support to new customers to ensure successful adoption and scale of Fivetran solutions.
- Translate complex technology concepts for both technical and business audiences.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to influence technical strategy and customer outcomes.
Skills We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of working/operational experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, or similar enterprise databases.
- Hands-on experience with Data Replication/Integration (CDC) tools.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting; knowledge of Python/JavaScript and REST API interaction.
- Experience with modern databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB) in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with cloud data warehousing providers (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks) and data lake architectures (Kafka, HDFS, S3, ADLS).
- Ability to influence technical and business audiences effectively.
- Passion for data, analytics, and solving business problems using technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
