Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive Sales Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to join our Chennai team. The role involves identifying potential clients, providing technical solutions, and driving regional sales growth. A passion for industrial sales and a customer-focused approach are essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Chennai region.
  • Conduct cold calls, client meetings, and on-site visits to generate leads and drive sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate technical solutions and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations, close sales, and ensure proper execution of contracts.
  • Offer after-sales support and address client queries or concerns promptly.
  • Track sales activity, analyze market trends, and submit periodic performance reports.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, industry events, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Train customers and internal stakeholders on product usage and applications.
  • Update CRM systems regularly with client interactions and progress reports.
  • Support junior staff in meeting team targets and contribute to collective success.
  • Work closely with reporting managers to align sales strategies and execution plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to take ownership of responsibilities after training.
  • Ability to travel within the region to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Ownership of a two-wheeler is preferred (travel allowance will be provided).
