Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive Sales Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to join our Chennai team. The role involves identifying potential clients, providing technical solutions, and driving regional sales growth. A passion for industrial sales and a customer-focused approach are essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Chennai region.
- Conduct cold calls, client meetings, and on-site visits to generate leads and drive sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate technical solutions and product demonstrations.
- Prepare and negotiate quotations, close sales, and ensure proper execution of contracts.
- Offer after-sales support and address client queries or concerns promptly.
- Track sales activity, analyze market trends, and submit periodic performance reports.
- Participate in trade exhibitions, industry events, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
- Train customers and internal stakeholders on product usage and applications.
- Update CRM systems regularly with client interactions and progress reports.
- Support junior staff in meeting team targets and contribute to collective success.
- Work closely with reporting managers to align sales strategies and execution plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.
- Willingness to learn and ability to take ownership of responsibilities after training.
- Ability to travel within the region to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Ownership of a two-wheeler is preferred (travel allowance will be provided).
