Sales Director APAC & MEA (Telecom BSS / OSS / Operator IT / CSP Sales)

Work Mode: Remote-first (REMOTE) with required regional presence this is a remote-first position where daily activities can be performed remotely; however, it is not entirely location-independent. The role requires regular customer-facing activity and periodic in-person collaboration. Candidates should be prepared for scheduled on-site days for customer workshops, partner meetings and team alignment sessions. Remote work is supported for administrative, planning and follow-up tasks. Flexibility to attend in-person meetings on short notice and to align with APAC/MEA time zones is essential.
Location: India / APAC (Primary base: India preferred; open to candidates based elsewhere in APAC who can align to regional business needs and travel requirements)
Travel: Expected travel up to approximately 50% (typical range 30%60%) across APAC & MEA for customer engagements, implementations, partner meetings and conferences. Candidates should be able to travel on short notice and be flexible with time zones. Visa/passport readiness is required; visa support may be provided where applicable.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Director APAC & MEA to drive enterprise sales for Telecom BSS solutions across domestic and international markets. The role will focus on new business acquisition, strategic account management, and revenue growth across telecom operators, CSPs (Communication Service Providers), MNOs/MVNOs and digital service providers. The successful candidate will be fluent in positioning solutions across BSS/OSS, charging & billing (rating, realtime charging), monetization platforms, customer lifecycle management (CLM / CRM / order-to-cash), and operator IT modernization as part of broader digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regional sales strategy across APAC & MEA, including go-to-market for BSS/OSS, operator IT and CSP propositions
Own revenue targets and pipeline development across segments (mobile, fixed, MVNO, wholesale and digital services)
Acquire new telecom operator clients and expand footprints within CSPs by promoting charging & billing, monetization, CLM and cloud-native BSS solutions
Manage enterprise and CXO-level relationships with operator IT, product, technology and commercial stakeholders
Lead RFPs, proposals, negotiations, and closures for large transformational programs (digital transformation, BSS modernization, OSS integration)
Work closely with pre-sales and delivery teams to design operator-centric solutions (real-time charging, mediation, policy, CRM, order management)
Expand existing telecom accounts by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities in charging, billing, monetization and CLM
Track and qualify telecom digital transformation opportunities including cloud migration, SaaS BSS adoption and partner ecosystem plays
Required Skills
Proven Telecom BSS and OSS sales experience (including selling to CSPs/Operators)
Experience selling charging and billing (convergent billing, rating, real-time charging) and monetization platforms
Enterprise / software sales skills with strong track record in large deal closure
Strong knowledge of customer lifecycle management (CRM, CLM), order-to-cash and revenue management
Experience engaging with operator IT, network & OSS stakeholders and driving digital transformation conversations
Strategic account management and stakeholder management at CXO level
Preferred Domain Experience
Billing & Charging Systems (convergent billing, mediation, rating)
Digital BSS Platforms & cloud-native BSS (SaaS models, microservices)
Telecom CRM and Customer Lifecycle Management (order management, CLM, revenue management)
Monetization platforms, real-time charging and policy control
Operator IT / CSP experience (MNOs, MVNOs, wholesale & enterprise services)
5G ecosystem solutions, OSS transformation and network integration
Education:
Engineering / Telecom degree preferred
MBA is a plus
