Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Sales Development Specialist to drive revenue growth for defined strategic products within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for actively managing accounts, building strong customer relationships, and using technical expertise to successfully implement new products into the market. This role requires a focus on early seeding activities and a strong collaboration with Account Management and Application Specialists. The active use of a CRM system like SFDC is essential for managing sales activities and achieving targets.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Initiate and manage the full sales process, from lead generation to after-sales, in close alignment with Account Managers.
  • Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads, opportunities, and all customer interactions, ensuring the CRM is always up to date.
  • Analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights, and track sales performance.
  • Develop and achieve product targets with a clear focus on seeding and finding new opportunities at customer sites.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to Account Managers and customers on relevant products and processes.
  • Manage the short, mid, and long-term opportunity funnel and account portfolio to support product and market goals.
  • Identify, implement, and execute appropriate action plans to develop the business for strategic products.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in life sciences or engineering. A higher level of education is beneficial.
  • Proven field sales experience, preferably with a background in laboratory or process-based environments.
  • Experience in selling capital instrumentation and/or selling consumables to clients is a plus.

Skills

  • Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools.
  • Relevant technical knowledge and extensive industry knowledge (e.g., Biotech, Pharma).
  • Result-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Capable of providing outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to manage complex issues using innovation and process.
