Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Development Specialist, Chromatography, to drive sales growth for a strategic product group within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire sales process, from lead generation to after-sales support, and will work closely with Account Managers to achieve targets. A key aspect of this role is using technical expertise to identify new opportunities and build strong customer relationships. This position requires active use of a CRM system, such as SFDC, to manage sales activities and customer interactions.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Initiate and manage the full sales process within an assigned territory, from lead generation to after-sales, including collaboration on trials, testing, and order closing.
  • Actively use SFDC to document leads, opportunities, and all customer interactions, ensuring the CRM system is always up-to-date.
  • Analyze CRM data to identify trends, generate customer insights, and track sales performance for assigned customers.
  • Develop and achieve chromatography product group targets by focusing on seeding activities and identifying new opportunities.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to Account Managers and customers on relevant products and processes.
  • Manage the short-, mid-, and long-term opportunity funnel and account portfolio to support market goals.
  • Identify, implement, and execute appropriate action plans to develop business for strategic products.

Qualifications

  • An academic degree in life sciences or engineering. A higher level of education is beneficial.
  • Relevant experience in Chromatography process development or field sales, with a background in a laboratory setting in Life Science.
  • Experience in selling chromatography systems or consumables to clients in different sectors is a plus.

Skills

  • Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools.
  • Relevant technical knowledge and extensive industry knowledge (e.g., Biotech).
  • Result-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Capable of providing outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex issues.
