About the Role

We are hiring our first Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the engine of our outbound prospecting efforts. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads through strategic outreach. This is a high-impact, ground-floor role where your work directly feeds the sales pipeline and drives company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Prospecting: Execute multi-channel outreach (cold email, LinkedIn, phone calls) to target accounts and decision-makers.
  • Lead Qualification: Engage prospects through discovery conversations; qualify leads using defined frameworks (BANT/MEDDIC) and hand off to sales.
  • Account Research: Research target companies, identify key stakeholders (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, IT Heads), and personalize outreach.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce); log all activities, notes, and lead status changes.
  • Sequence Execution: Run and optimize email/LinkedIn outreach sequences; A/B test messaging for improved response rates.
  • Meeting Booking: Schedule qualified meetings and demos for the sales/BD team; achieve monthly meeting targets.
  • Market Feedback: Share prospect objections, market insights, and competitive intelligence with the Lead Gen Manager and leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Generation Manager on ICP refinement, messaging, and campaign strategy.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 13 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or B2B lead generation (IT/tech industry preferred).
  • Excellent written communication ability to write concise, personalized, and compelling outreach emails.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and LinkedIn outreach; resilient and persistent in follow-ups.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms.
  • Strong research skills ability to quickly understand a prospect's business, pain points, and decision-making structure.
  • Goal-oriented with a hunger to exceed targets; thrives in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Good verbal communication skills for discovery calls and qualification conversations.
