Job Description

The Sales Analyst - Revenue Intelligence & Insights will be responsible for converting complex sales data into actionable insights that directly impact revenue performance. This role demands strong Advanced Excel expertise, hands-on analytics, structured reporting, and close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced Excel-based MIS reports, dashboards, and forecasting models.
  • Track and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, including pipeline, revenue, closures, productivity, margins, and conversion ratios.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of CRM data to identify funnel leakages, data inconsistencies, and corrective actions.
  • Analyse pricing strategies, discount campaigns, and margin movements using data-driven models.
  • Create customer segmentation models (B2C, B2B, Projects) using Excel and BI tools for pricing and performance analysis.
  • Analyse customer acquisition, adoption, and repeat purchase behaviour to derive actionable insights.
  • Support Sales and Product teams with analytics on SKU launches, supply/logistics delays, and campaign ROI.
  • Conduct variance analysis between targets vs. actuals and provide early warning indicators for revenue shortfalls.
  • Present insights in clear, structured Excel dashboards and executive-ready reports.
  • Work closely with Sales Heads, Product Managers, and QA teams to translate insights into field-level execution.
  • Influence leadership decisions by combining sales context with data-backed recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
  • 3-6 years of experience in Sales Analytics, MIS, Revenue Operations, or Business Analytics roles.
  • Advanced Excel - Mandatory Requirement.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in Advanced Excel, including:
  • Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts (advanced configurations).
  • Power Query for data cleaning, transformation, and consolidation.
  • Advanced formulas (XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IFERROR, nested formulas).
  • Data validation, conditional formatting, and dynamic dashboards.
  • Large data handling and automation using Excel-based models.
  • Exposure to Power Pivot / basic DAX is a strong plus.

Tools And Systems

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and validation.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Zoho Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar).

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong analytical mindset with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify complex insights for business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in e-commerce, B2B, or industrial sales environments.
  • Proven ability to build accurate sales forecasts and revenue models.
  • Proactive, curiosity-driven approach with comfort in fast-paced, high-growth organisations.
