Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales/Marketing Representative to promote and drive admissions for our academy. The ideal candidate should have strong lead generation skills, confidence in cold calling, and the ability to convert inquiries into enrollments.

This role focuses heavily on lead generation, follow-ups, and admissions conversion, making it ideal for candidates who are passionate about sales and building relationships.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales and Marketing Representative at our Bengaluru campus. The role involves promoting IIHM programs to prospective students through various marketing channels, driving enrollment targets, and providing excellent customer service. Additional responsibilities include conducting engagement sessions such as seminars and presentations, handling sales inquiries, and maintaining long-lasting relationships with students and stakeholders. The representative will also work closely with the admissions and marketing teams to strategize and execute promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Cold Calling (Primary Focus)

  • Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and walk-ins
  • Proactively reach out to potential students and clients to promote academy programs
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of leads to support consistent admissions growth
  • Convert inquiries into admissions through regular follow-ups and relationship building

Client Relationship & Admissions Counseling

  • Connect with prospective students and clients
  • Provide detailed information about courses, curriculum, benefits, and enrollment process
  • Understand client needs and recommend suitable programs

Sales Presentations

  • Conduct presentations for individuals, groups, and organizations
  • Showcase the academy's programs and value proposition
  • Address queries and objections effectively

Consultative Selling

  • Understand student goals and career aspirations
  • Tailor sales approach to meet individual needs
  • Provide guidance to help prospects make informed decisions

Relationship Building & Follow-ups

  • Maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Follow up regularly to encourage enrollment
  • Provide ongoing support and updates

Sales Management & Reporting

  • Track leads and opportunities using sales tools
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports

Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Develop action plans to meet admissions goals

Market Research & Collaboration

  • Stay updated on competitor offerings and market trends
  • Work closely with marketing and admissions teams
  • Support business growth initiatives

Continuous Learning

  • Stay updated on course offerings and curriculum
  • Participate in training and professional development

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Sales / Admissions / Lead Generation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with cold calling and lead generation
  • Target-oriented and self-motivated
  • Basic computer knowledge and CRM familiarity preferred 

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively engage with students and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Sales and Sales & Marketing techniques to achieve enrollment targets and promote educational programs.
  • Experience in conducting Training or presentations for seminars and promotional events.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in the education sector or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Graduate degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
