Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Noida for a Sales and Account Manager in Government Business at Decathlon. The main responsibilities include managing government business accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role also involves lead generation, identifying new opportunities, and creating strategies to achieve sales targets.

Qualifications:

A professional with 3-5 years proven business development experience in dealing with various Government Departments- Central, PSUs Defense, Central Armed Police Forces, Railways, and State Departments- Education, Forest, Sports & Youth Associations etc.

  • Strong network at central and state government departments.
  • Strong skills in Lead Generation and identifying business opportunities within the government sector.
  • Must have experience and knowledge in end to end tender/bid execution at Government E-Market Place & other government portals.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Prior experience to participate & execute government events/exhibitions across the country.
  • Account and multiple vendor management.
  • Ability to prepare reports and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrates ownership for conflict resolution, negotiation and de-escalation skills.
  • Strong presentation, verbal & written communication skills
  • Education and experience in public policy would be added advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Development of Government Institutional sales proposing Decathlon products & services.
  • Responsible for generating leads by using relevant channels.
  • Regular contact with government officials, conduct meetings and establish long lasting relationships.
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with central and state government entities and agencies.
  • Introduces legislative and public policy changes that will support company operations.
  • Researches and monitors government activities that could affect the Decathlon's business positively.
  • Develop healthy reporting for the development of clear and concise communication.
  • Conduct research on diverse legal matters, document findings, and utilize them to revise government affairs communications.
  • Driving of sales includes order processing, payment follow ups and timely reconciliation of payments.
