Role Title - Sales Analyst
Reporting to - CSO
Job Location - Gurgaon
Purpose of the Job
The Data Analyst - Sales responsible for providing data-driven insights to optimize sales performance and drive strategic decision-making. This role involves working closely with the sales operations team to analyse sales data, develop forecasting models, and identify key trends and opportunities. Candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing sales efficiency, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting the overall growth objectives of the organization
Key Deliverables / KPIs:
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in sales performance across different regions and product categories.
- Generate insights/models on:
- Regional sales trends
- SKU performance
- Market penetration
- Distribution effectiveness
- Develop and maintain sales forecasting models to predict future sales trends and support inventory planning and resource allocation.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key sales metrics, providing actionable insights to sales management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales operations team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain data models to ensure data accuracy and consistency across different sales data sources.
- Support the development of sales plans and strategies by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Education
MBA/PGDM Top Tier Universities/Institutes of India
Years of Experience
03 - 06 years in relevant role
Additional Competencies (Good to have)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve sales performance.
- Proven expertise in developing and maintaining sales forecasting models using statistical techniques and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of sales operations processes and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
