Role Title - Sales Analyst

Reporting to - CSO

Job Location - Gurgaon

Purpose of the Job

The Data Analyst - Sales responsible for providing data-driven insights to optimize sales performance and drive strategic decision-making. This role involves working closely with the sales operations team to analyse sales data, develop forecasting models, and identify key trends and opportunities. Candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing sales efficiency, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting the overall growth objectives of the organization

Key Deliverables / KPIs:

  1. Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in sales performance across different regions and product categories.
  2. Generate insights/models on:
  • Regional sales trends
  • SKU performance
  • Market penetration
  • Distribution effectiveness
  1. Develop and maintain sales forecasting models to predict future sales trends and support inventory planning and resource allocation.
  2. Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key sales metrics, providing actionable insights to sales management and other stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with the sales operations team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  5. Develop and maintain data models to ensure data accuracy and consistency across different sales data sources.
  6. Support the development of sales plans and strategies by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Education

MBA/PGDM Top Tier Universities/Institutes of India

Years of Experience

03 - 06 years in relevant role

Additional Competencies (Good to have)

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve sales performance.
  • Proven expertise in developing and maintaining sales forecasting models using statistical techniques and software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Solid understanding of sales operations processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
