Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager to drive growth within the Automobile industry vertical. The role focuses on managing existing client relationships, driving revenue expansion, and identifying new business opportunities within assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Growth
  • Manage and grow key accounts in the Automobile / Automotive domain.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across business and IT teams.
  • Drive account mining strategies to expand wallet share.
  • Revenue Generation
  • Own and deliver revenue targets for assigned accounts.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across HCLTech service offerings (Digital, Engineering, Cloud, IT Services).
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with client business goals.
  • Client Engagement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Understand client challenges and position relevant solutions.
  • Sales & Deal Management
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycle including opportunity identification, solutioning, proposal development, and deal closure.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, and solution teams.
  • Ensure pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting.
  • Market & Industry Insight
  • Stay updated on automotive industry trends such as EV, connected vehicles, digital manufacturing, and supply chain transformation.
  • Leverage industry insights to create value propositions for clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in IT services sales / account management.
  • Proven experience in handling clients in the Automobile / Automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of IT/Engineering services (ER&D exposure is a plus).
  • Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and account mining.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with global automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives in automotive.
