About the Role
Experience : 4-10 Years
Location : Bangalore
The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of various standards such as IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC 61131-2, IEC 61131-3, NFPA, and FM.
Responsibilities
- Familiarity with ESD, F&G, High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS), or BMS Systems is essential.
- A TuV Certification for Functional Safety Engineer would be highly desirable.
- The candidate should possess hands-on experience with DCS Systems and their communication interfaces.
- Well-versed in the overall Engineering lifecycle of a Safety System.
- Experience in Project Engineering, Commissioning, and Maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems like Honeywell Safety Manager, FSC, HIMA, Triconex, and ABB Safety Systems.
- Experience in FAT/SAT of Safety Systems will be preferred.
- A strong background in programming of FBD and other languages as per IEC61131-3 standard is required.
- Adept at evaluating the Engineering logic against the C&E Matrix during FAT/SAT Phases of Engineering.
- Experience in working with DCS and ESD systems.
- Hands-on experience in configuring PLC, Safety, and DCS systems in either commissioning or test environments is crucial.
- The ability to differentiate between Process Safety and Process Control Requirements is also necessary.
- Sound knowledge of different communication protocols for third-party interfaces and field device integration, such as HART, Profisafe, etc.
- Experience with Process Industrial Control systems, preferably Honeywell Experion DCS, Honeywell TDC, or SCADA solutions, is preferred.
- Experience in product testing and familiarity with test automation tools like Python, Selenium, etc., will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as Jira would also be beneficial.
- Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills are highly valued.
