Job Description

Core responsibilities

  • Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures. Stay updated on all relevant safety regulations and ensure the company is compliant. 
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices. 
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and recommend preventive measures to mitigate hazards. 
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Training: Organize and deliver safety training programs and workshops for employees to raise awareness and ensure they know how to respond in an emergency. 
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and employee health information. 
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency procedures, such as evacuation plans and fire drills. 
  • Promote Safety: Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and communication initiatives.
