Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for a Safety Officer at SJ Contracts Pvt Ltd. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing company safety policies and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, implementing safety training programs, investigating accidents, and overseeing site security measures to create a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices
- Experience in conducting Accident Investigations and generating reports
- Familiarity with Security procedures and measures at construction sites
- Strong skills in planning and delivering effective Safety Training programs
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field is preferred
- Industry-recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are an advantage
