Job Description

The Impact You'll Make

To ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) legal requirements and company standards by implementing effective EHS systems, minimizing risks, preventing accidents, and promoting a strong culture within the manufacturing facility

What You'll Be Doing
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve Environment, Health & Safety Management Systems aligned to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and company standards — ensuring full compliance with the Factories Act 1948, Karnataka Factory Rules, and all applicable legal and statutory requirements
  • Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JSA), and lead regular safety inspections, audits, and Gemba walks — investigating accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to drive corrective actions that prevent recurrence rather than just address symptoms
  • Manage environmental performance by monitoring emissions, effluents, noise levels, and waste disposal, coordinating with external agencies for testing and statutory reporting, and supporting sustainability and resource conservation initiatives under ISO 50001
  • Develop and maintain On-site Emergency Response Plans, conduct mock drills, and ensure readiness of firefighting equipment, first aid facilities, and emergency signage — while organising EHS training programmes and promotional campaigns that build a strong safety culture across employees and contractors
  • Maintain all statutory registers, licenses, permits, and returns, and prepare monthly and annual EHS performance reports and KPIs — supporting internal and external audits and liaising with government authorities, inspectors, and auditors to keep the site inspection-ready at all times

What We're Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of EHS legal and statutory requirements, with a genuine drive to stay current as regulations evolve and apply new standards proactively rather than reactively
  • Proven hazard identification and risk management skills, with the analytical curiosity to look beyond surface-level findings and strengthen control measures through continuous learning from incidents and near misses
  • Solid incident investigation and root cause analysis capability, combined with the persistence to follow through on corrective actions and refine investigation methods based on what each case reveals
  • Good communication and training skills, with the confidence to engage employees, contractors, and leadership on safety topics — and the openness to adapt delivery styles based on audience feedback
  • Strong documentation and reporting ability, with an organised approach to maintaining registers, KPIs, and audit records — and a mindset geared toward using data to drive improvement rather than just track compliance

What You'll Get From Us
  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  • You'll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  • You'll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they're worth asking about—we think they're pretty great.
