Job Description- Safety Officer
Work Location- North Bangalore
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing safety programs and initiatives to ensure the well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors on our construction sites and other real estate projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Program Development:
- Develop, implement, and continually improve safety programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
2. Training and Education:
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Foster a culture of safety awareness through regular communication and educational initiatives.
3. Incident Investigation:
- Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and corrective actions taken.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and ensures the company's compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Interface with regulatory agencies as needed and coordinate inspections.
5. Emergency Response Planning:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, ensuring the readiness of the team to respond effectively in case of emergencies.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Promote a collaborative and proactive approach to safety among all employees.
