Job Description: Safety Engineer – Wind Project
Location: Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh
Employment Type: Outsourced

Experience Required: 5 – 8 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
PDIS / ADIS Certification (Industrial Safety)
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Safety Engineers with hands-on exposure to wind energy projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety standards, ensuring compliance, and promoting a safe working environment at site.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Compliance
Implement and monitor HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies at site
Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety standards
Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits
Risk Management
Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JSA)
Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions
Ensure proper usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Training & Awareness
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
Promote a strong safety culture among workers and staff
Incident Management
Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents
Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely closure of observations
Site Monitoring
Supervise work activities such as:
Wind turbine erection & installation
Heavy lifting operations (cranes)
Working at heights
Electrical and mechanical works
Required Skills & Expertise:
Experience in Wind Power Projects (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of:
Work at Height Safety
Lifting & Rigging Safety
Electrical & Mechanical Safety Practices
Familiarity with:
Safety documentation & reporting
Permit to Work (PTW) system
Emergency response procedures
