Safety Engineer Railway OHE / Electrification Projects

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Engineer with proven experience in Railway OHE (Overhead Equipment) and Railway Electrification projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety standards, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting a zero-accident culture across project sites.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering with minimum 8 years of experience in Railway Electrification / OHE projects
- OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in Railway Electrification / OHE projects
- Additional safety certifications (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation of safety policies and procedures at railway OHE project sites.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards related to:
- OHE erection, wiring & tensioning
- Foundation and mast erection
- TSS/SP/SS installations
- Working at height and electrical safety
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
- Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments (JSA / HIRA).
- Organize toolbox talks and safety training programs for site workers.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all workforce and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain safety documentation and reports as per client and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with client, PMC, and railway authorities on safety compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Railway Safety norms and Electrical Safety Standards.
- Prepare and submit monthly safety reports.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Railway OHE & Electrification safety standards.
- Familiarity with Indian Railways safety regulations.
- Good understanding of working at height and electrical hazard controls.
- Ability to lead safety meetings and trainings.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
