Role Overview
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, operation, and maintenance of RSA India's facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, compliant, and scalable work environment. This role leads facilities operations, space planning, vendor management, and EHS compliance while supporting business growth and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of RSA India facilities, including buildings, equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.
- Ensure uninterrupted facility operations through proactive inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely issue resolution.
- Manage space allocation, seating plans, office layouts, furniture, and equipment inventories.
- Coordinate facilities expansion, renovation, and workplace improvement initiatives.
- Oversee communication services, networking infrastructure requirements, and facilities-related technology needs.
Planning, Budgeting & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage annual facilities budgets and long-term facilities plans aligned with business growth.
- Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitor expenses, approve purchases, and manage contracts in line with company policies.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance management, and service-level compliance.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental, occupational health, and safety policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Drive workplace safety initiatives and conduct regular audits, drills, and risk assessments.
- Advise leadership on opportunities to enhance environmental sustainability, health, and safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, building codes, and corporate compliance standards.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse and high-performing facilities team.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development of team members.
- Conduct performance and compensation discussions in alignment with company processes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Policy, Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Design, implement, and continuously improve facilities-related policies and standard operating procedures.
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership and internal stakeholders to meet schedules, service levels, and performance requirements.
- Establish and recommend policy changes impacting facilities operations and subordinate teams.
- Collaborate with global facilities, HR, IT, Security, and Finance teams to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 812 years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or infrastructure management.
- Proven experience managing large office campuses or corporate facilities in India.
- Strong knowledge of EHS standards, statutory compliance, and vendor management.
- Demonstrated people leadership and budget management experience.
