Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in rock mechanics and ground investigations. The role involves designing and supervising ground investigation programs, conducting rock mass classification, performing rock joint surveys, and evaluating rock slope stability. The ideal candidate will be proficient in numerical modeling, rockfall evaluation, and the design of support systems such as rock bolts and shotcrete. Leadership, teamwork, and strong communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of probability theory and the ability to apply it in complex projects. The position will require both office-based work and field tasks, including potential international travel depending on project needs.

Responsibilities/ Skillsets:

• Design and supervision of ground investigation programs.
• Rock mass classification.
• Rock joints survey/stereographic projection, and kinematic Analysis.
• Derivation of strength and deformation parameters of jointed rock.
• Rock slope Stability and rockfall evaluation.
• Design of rock bolts, anchors, shotcrete, wire-nets,
• Numerical modeling.
• Rock slope monitoring.
• Application of probability theory.
• Leadership qualities including teamwork, communication, business sense, and value will be considered essential assets.
• Work will involve both office and field tasks with international travel according to project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineer with academic specialization and/or experience in Rock Mechanics, a B.S or M.S. degree in Geotechnical or Geological engineering, and approximately 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Should have strong technical background with a broad range of project experience.
