About Robotronix™

Robotronix™ helps children become thinkers, creators and innovators through hands-on STEM and technology learning. We work with schools and students through robotics labs, classes, workshops and innovation projects.

We're looking for a trainer who enjoys building working projects and teaching school students. This role combines practical electronics and coding with classroom teaching for Grades 2–12.

What you'll do
  • Conduct engaging robotics, electronics, coding and STEM sessions at partner schools.
  • Build and demonstrate projects using Arduino, ESP32, sensors, motors and STEM kits.
  • Teach Arduino programming, Python and Scratch through age-appropriate activities.
  • Guide younger students through mechanical construction and hands-on projects.
  • Mentor students for robotics competitions, science exhibitions and innovation challenges.
  • Troubleshoot circuits and prototypes, assess student progress, and develop teaching materials.
  • Test new projects and kits, and coordinate with schools and the Robotronix™ team.

  • Required skills and experience
    • Electronics: breadboarding, circuits, sensors, DC motors, servo motors and troubleshooting.
    • Arduino and ESP32: building, programming and debugging working projects using Arduino C/C++ and basic IoT concepts.
    • Python: writing and teaching basic programs.
    • Scratch: teaching with Scratch or another block-based programming platform.
    • ESP8266 and Raspberry Pi: practical familiarity with both platforms.
    • 3D design and printing: using Tinkercad, Onshape or a similar CAD tool, and working with a 3D printer.
    • Student projects: guiding work for robotics competitions, science exhibitions or innovation activities.
    • Teaching materials: creating lesson plans, worksheets and project documentation.
    • AI tools: familiarity with age-appropriate AI learning activities.
    • Classroom teaching: explaining concepts clearly, adapting lessons for different ages and managing practical sessions.

Skills gained through employment, internships, college projects or independent projects are welcome. You should be able to demonstrate your practical work during the hiring process.

A degree or diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Robotics or a related field is preferred. Candidates from other backgrounds with strong relevant skills may also apply.

    Good to have
    • Experience with educational drones or quadcopters, such as assembly, programming or mentoring student projects.

  • Work arrangements and benefits

This is an in-person role with local travel to partner schools when required. You should be comfortable working around school schedules and managing small robotics and STEM kits.

Benefits include paid sick leave, travel or commuter support where applicable, opportunities to mentor student projects, and growth toward senior trainer or STEM program lead roles.

    Hiring process
    1. Video discussion about your projects, technical skills and teaching experience.
    2. In-person practical demonstration: build or troubleshoot a project and explain it as you would to a school student. You may also be asked to show examples of your 3D designs, teaching materials or student projects.
    • To apply, share your resume and examples of projects you have built or taught. Photos, short videos, design files or project links are welcome.
