Job Description

As a Robotics Intern, you will support the development, integration, and testing of robotic subsystems on real platforms. You will spend time in simulation, on the bench, and in the field, turning algorithms into behaviour you can watch a robot perform.

If you have built robots, lived inside ROS, and run your own simulations, this internship is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and testing of robotic subsystems across platforms
  • Work with ROS / ROS2 to build, run, and debug robot software components
  • Assist in sensor integration and calibration: LiDAR, cameras, IMU, and GPS
  • Set up and run simulation and field tests for navigation, perception, and control algorithms
  • Collect, organise, and analyse test data to evaluate robot behaviour
  • Help reproduce, diagnose, and document failures observed in testing
  • Document workflows, configurations, and results systematically
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to support simulation-to-reality transfer

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Pursuing a B.Tech or M.Tech in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, ECE, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of the ROS / ROS2 framework
  • Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++
  • Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and basic control concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with simulation platforms such as Gazebo
  • Exposure to SLAM, localisation, or navigation
  • Understanding of sensor fusion concepts
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git / GitHub)
  • Prior project or competition work involving robots or autonomous systems

Eligibility and Background Requirements

  • Please apply only if you are currently in the final year of your degree programme.
  • You must be available for a full, year-long internship of 12 months; shorter durations cannot be considered.
  • This is an on-site internship based in Pune, India.
  • Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in robotics through projects, competitions, or coursework.
