Position Overview
The Robotics Facilitator is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, hands-on robotics and STEM learning experiences aligned with Cambridge and International Baccalaureate philosophies. The role focuses on developing students problem-solving, computational thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills while preparing them for a technology-driven future in an Indian and global context.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate Robotics and STEM lessons aligned with Cambridge and IB inquiry-based approaches
Teach foundational and advanced concepts in robotics, including coding, electronics, mechanics, and automation
Use platforms such as LEGO Spike/EV3, Arduino, Micro: bit, Scratch, Python, VEX, or similar tools
Integrate robotics with subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Design Technology, and ICT
Encourage design thinking, innovation, teamwork, and real-world problem solving
Prepare students for showcases, exhibitions, competitions, and innovation challenges
Design formative and summative assessments aligned with curriculum goals
Assess student learning through projects, prototypes, portfolios, reflections, and presentations
Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to academic reports
Support students in documenting their learning process using digital portfolios
Foster a safe, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment
Support diverse learners through differentiation and scaffolded instruction
Promote responsible use of tools, equipment, and technology
Mentor students in creativity, perseverance, and ethical use of technology
Collaborate with teachers on interdisciplinary and project-based learning units
Support school-wide STEM initiatives, innovation labs, and makerspaces
Participate in staff meetings, professional learning communities, and school events
Engage in ongoing professional development, including IB and Cambridge training
Qualifications & Experience
Master's in Technology, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, Education, or a related field
Certifications or specialized training in Robotics, 3D Design, STEM Education, Maker Education, Design Thinking, or related domains highly desirable.
Experience teaching Robotics or STEM to school-age students
Proven experience designing or managing hands-on, project-based learning programmes, particularly in robotics, 3D designs, maker spaces, or innovation hubs.
Familiarity with IB learner profile and Cambridge learner attributes
Preferred
Experience in an international or progressive school environment (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to coordinate school participation in innovation competitions, hackathons, and external STEM events.
Skills & Competencies
Strong hands-on knowledge of robotics kits, programming, and automation
Ability to simplify complex concepts for different age groups
Strong classroom facilitation and student engagement skills
Innovative, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
Effective communication and collaboration skills
