Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Robotics Engineer to work on development, integration, and evaluation of our Mobile AI robotic systems and related platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong fundamentals in robotics, software, and machine learning to support prototyping, testing, and deployment of advanced robotic applications. This role involves working hands-on with multi-arm robotic hardware, vision systems, and AI frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Integration:
- Build, configure, and optimize software for mobile robotic platforms including multi-arm manipulation, sensor fusion, and control logic.
AI & Machine Learning Implementation:
- Work with datasets and models for robot perception, teleoperation, and model evaluation locally and in the cloud.
Computer Vision & Sensor Processing:
- Integrate and tune vision systems (e.g., 3D Intel RealSense cameras) for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, and spatial understanding.
Simulation & Testing:
- Use robotic simulation tools (ROS2, Gazebo, MuJoCo, NVIDIA Isaac, etc.) for system testing, validation, and performance benchmarking.
System Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-software integration issues to ensure smooth robotic operation in real-world use cases.
Documentation & Collaboration:
- Create clear technical documentation, reports, and participate in team discussions to shape product development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong Programming Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for robotics and AI systems.
Robotics Frameworks:
- Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 for robot control and middleware.
Computer Vision & Perception:
- Solid understanding of vision systems and integration with robotic platforms.
Machine Learning:
- Familiarity with practical application of ML frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LeRobot, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for robotic use cases.
Control & Kinematics:
- Knowledge of robotic kinematics, motion planning, and real-time control principles.
Hardware Interaction:
- Comfortable with hardware interfacing, sensor calibration, and troubleshooting mobile robotic systems.
Communication Skills:
- Clear verbal and written communication to coordinate with team members and document technical findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-arm robotic systems (e.g., WidowX AI arms).
- Background in robot perception, autonomy, or reinforcement learning.
- Experience with cloud-based model training and evaluation workflows.
- Exposure to high-performance compute platforms and Linux environments.
