Description
We are seeking a skilled Road Maintenance Equipment Mechanic to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery used in road construction and maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on road maintenance equipment including graders, excavators, and asphalt pavers.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in repairing and maintaining heavy machinery and road maintenance equipment.
- Proficient in hydraulic and electrical systems of heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with welding and fabrication is an advantage.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Certification in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field is preferred.
