Overview - Revit Electrical Designer
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Revit Electrical Designer to join our Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Mumbai. The role involves preparing and managing 3D models, electrical layouts, wiring diagram, schematics, and construction drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools, while ensuring compliance with international electrical codes, standards, and project requirements. The designer will collaborate across disciplines, support coordination activities, perform technical reviews, and contribute to major industrial and infrastructure projects. Strong expertise in electrical design, BIM workflows, and the ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams are essential.
Our team within the Industrial Business specializes in taking on the most significant engineering projects in the Mining & Metallurgy, Chemical, Food, and Pharma sectors, ensuring safe, reliable, low‑carbon nuclear power generation and preparations for safe and efficient defueling. We also support other parts of the AtkinsRéalis Nuclear & Power business, covering the full lifecycle-from new build through to deconstruction.

Role Designation: Revit MEP Designer

Our team within the Industrial Business specializes in taking on the most significant engineering projects in the Industrial, Mining & Metallurgy, Chemical, Food, pharma sector, ensuring safe, reliable, low carbon nuclear power generation, and preparations for safe and efficient defueling. We also support other parts of the AtkinsRéalis Nuclear & Power business covering the full life cycle from new build through to deconstruction.

AtkinsRéalis Global Technology Centre (GTC) is looking to appoint a Revit Designer (MEP) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Mumbai, India.
Responsibilities -
Directly performs work of designers and drafters, this work includes the preparation of 3D model in Revit application and preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed construction drawings using Revit or 2D CAD software like AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Proficient in Equipment design and development, System design, including concept sketches and layouts.
Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports
Is responsible for the accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline.
Reviews drawings and vendor equipment documentation, both within the discipline as well as from other fields, for compliance with project requirements and actively seeks resolution.
Proficient in Revit modeling, including equipment, raceways, grounding, lighting power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. Capable of working independently to prepare layouts, schematics, and schedules in compliance with codes and standards. Skilled in reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback, ensuring accuracy and consistency in electrical documentation across 2D and 3D design environments. Experienced in developing detailed models, producing construction drawings, and supporting client model reviews.
Proficient in Navisworks review capabilities, as required.
Should be able to work independently and handle an area with team of designers/engineers.
Interdisciplinary check of all Civil / Structural / Piping / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation drawings
Provide guidance and mentorship to lower classification piping designers.
Review project parameters related to MEP requirements.
Experience of preparing Lighting layouts with RCP coordination.
Required skills and experience -
Engineering Graduate or Engineering Diploma or ITI with experience between 4 to 8 Years mainly for building services, Industrial Chemical, Mining & Metallurgy and Petrochemicals multidisciplinary of medium and large size projects.
Thorough awareness of international codes and standards used for MEP design in the industry.
Shall be Capable of Producing Revit Model Independently in coordination with other disciplines.
Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes.
Able to present / represent their technical work.
Working knowledge of standard codes and EDMS (Electronic Data Management System).
Familiar with planning, budgeting, and scheduling of basic drafting tasks in designated disciplines.
Shows flexibility in work tasks and locations.
An effective and reliable team member able to apply knowledge gained.
Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
Desirable skills and experience -
Must be an advanced user of Revit & Its equivalent tools for Plant Design with capabilities to federate individual discipline models, maintain and run clash related activities for discipline models.
Must be able to use Navisworks to generate clash results, manage clash resolution, redline BIM Models, capture viewpoints and cascade reports to discipline teams.
Preparation of reports such as feasibility studies, method statements, specifications, design reports, schedules, construction drawings and bills of quantities.
