Responsibilities
We are looking for a Functional Testing Specialist with strong knowledge of e-commerce systems and workflows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating functional accuracy, conducting UAT, documenting business flows, and ensuring a seamless digital experience across the e-commerce platform. This role requires a functional tester's mindset ensuring that every release meets business requirements, performs optimally, and delivers an intuitive customer Responsibilities :
- Perform end-to-end functional testing of e-commerce modules : browsing, cart, checkout, payments, and order tracking.
- Conduct manual functional testing and automated testing using test automation frameworks and tools.
- Execute automated test scripts using Selenium and other automation tools for regression and smoke testing.
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with business stakeholders before releases.
- Identify defects, log them clearly, and collaborate with the development team for resolution.
- Validate integrations with external systems such as ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, and Logistics tools.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and regression suites.
- Participate in release validation, smoke testing, and defect & Functional Analysis :
- Understand and map business requirements into functional test cases.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and write BRDs/FSDs.
- Translate business workflows into testable use cases.
- Ensure functional coverage across different user journeys and & SQL Testing :
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and database consistency.
- Perform database testing to verify data accuracy across e-commerce modules.
- Validate backend data through SQL scripts for order management, inventory, and payment records.
- Support defect analysis by querying databases to identify root Collaboration :
- Participate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives to ensure QA readiness.
- Provide inputs for process improvement and quality & Documentation :
- Prepare detailed test summary reports and defect metrics.
- Maintain updated traceability matrices linking requirements to test cases.
- Support release readiness reviews with evidence-based Skills & Qualifications Skills :
- Manual Testing : 2- 4 years of hands-on functional testing or QA experience in e-commerce platforms.
- Test Automation : Strong experience with Selenium, automated test frameworks, and test execution.
- SQL : Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for database testing and data validation.
- API Testing : Strong knowledge of API testing, data validation, and integration Platforms :
- Hands-on understanding of Shopify, Salesforce, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom-built systems.
- Experience with e-commerce workflows : Product Catalog, Shopping Cart, Payment Processing, Order & Analysis :
- Ability to write and manage test cases, BRDs, and UAT documentation.
