Store Manager – Retail Sales (Tiles & Sanitary Ware)

Department: Sales / Operations
Reporting To: Area Manager / Regional Sales Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Store Manager to handle retail sales operations of Tiles & Sanitary Ware showroom. The candidate will be responsible for managing daily store operations, achieving sales targets, handling customers, and leading the store team efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service:
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for tiles and sanitary products.
- Handle walk-in customers and provide product guidance as per their requirements.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales deals.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and builders.
Store Operations:
- Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
- Maintain proper display and merchandising of tiles and sanitary ware.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse for replenishment.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of showroom.
Team Management:
- Supervise and guide sales staff and helpers.
- Train staff on product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Prepare duty rosters and monitor staff performance.
Inventory & Billing:
- Ensure accurate stock records and prevent stock loss/damage.
- Coordinate with accounts team for billing and collections.
- Handle cash/credit sales and ensure proper documentation.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare daily sales reports and stock reports.
- Follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Good communication and customer-handling ability
- Leadership and team management skills
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, billing software)
- Product knowledge of tiles, sanitary ware, and bathroom fittings preferred
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / 12th pass (preferred)
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in retail sales of Tiles & Sanitary Ware
- Prior experience as Store Manager / Showroom Manager will be an advantage
