Retail Interior Designer

Reporting To: Design Manager

The Retail Interior Designer is responsible for creating functional, attractive, and brand-aligned interior spaces for retail environments such as showrooms, stores, and outlets. The role involves concept development, detailed design, coordination with project teams, and ensuring timely execution as per client expectations.

• Develop innovative retail interior concepts aligned with brand identity and client requirements
• Prepare space planning, layouts, 3D visualizations, and detailed drawings
• Create mood boards, material boards, and color schemes
• Prepare working drawings including furniture details, ceiling plans, lighting layouts, flooring, and elevations
• Coordinate with sales, production, site, and procurement teams for smooth execution
• Assist in BOQ preparation and material selection
• Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is maintained during execution
• Handle client presentations, design revisions, and approvals
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and timelines

• Strong understanding of retail design principles, customer flow, and visual merchandising
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop (Revit is an advantage)
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, and modular furniture systems
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's / Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent

• 25 years of experience in retail interior design (showrooms, malls, commercial spaces)

• Mall Fit-Out Projects

• Experience working with retail brands and fit-out projects
• Understanding of execution-friendly designs
• Ability to translate brand guidelines into functional interiors
