Job Description:
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Back Office Operations Analyst with 3–4 years of experience in capital markets operations, preferably in an outsourced/captive environment. The role involves managing post-trade operations, settlements, brokerage processing, and reporting for retail broking operations in India.
This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end broking lifecycle, regulatory processes, and high-volume transaction environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Processing & Lifecycle Management
- Process and validate trades across:
- Equity, Derivatives (F&O), and other exchange segments
- Support end-to-end lifecycle:
- Trade capture → Confirmation → Clearing → Settlement
- Perform trade uploads, allocations, and daily validations
2. Contract Notes & Brokerage Processing
- Generate and validate:
- Contract notes as per regulatory timelines
- Ensure accurate:
- Brokerage calculations (delivery, intraday, derivatives)
- Charges (STT, GST, exchange fees, stamp duty)
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in contract generation
3. Settlements & Pay-in/Pay-out Support
- Assist in:
- Funds and securities settlement processes (T+1 cycle)
- Support pay-in / pay-out activities with internal teams
- Track and follow up on:
- Short deliveries, auction obligations
4. Reconciliation & Data Validation
- Perform daily reconciliations:
- Trade vs exchange
- Client ledger and securities balances
- Investigate breaks and coordinate for resolution
- Ensure data accuracy across systems
5. Reporting & Compliance Support
- Generate operational reports:
- Client statements, margin reports, transaction summaries
- Support regulatory reporting and audit requirements
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs and compliance standards
6. Client & Internal Stakeholder Support
- Address internal queries related to:
- Trades, brokerage, settlements
- Coordinate with:
- Front office, RMS, and compliance teams
- Escalate issues in a timely manner
7. Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements
- Support automation and standardization initiatives
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and operational controls
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in:
- Capital markets / broking operations / investment operations
- Preferably from:
- Outsourced/captive setups (e.g., global banks, custodians, service providers)
Functional Knowledge
- Basic to good understanding of:
- Trade lifecycle and settlements
- Equity and derivatives markets
- Brokerage and contract note processing
- Exposure to:
- Reconciliations and reporting
Technical Skills
- Good working knowledge of:
- MS Excel (filters, lookups, basic formulas)
- Familiarity with:
- Back office systems / trade processing tools
Regulatory Awareness (Good to Have)
- Basic understanding of:
- SEBI guidelines
- Exchange processes (NSE/BSE)
Soft Skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Strong coordination and communication skills

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree (Commerce / Finance preferred)
- NISM certifications (good to have)
