Job Description

The Retail Associate is a key member of the store team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive and professional shopping environment. This role involves direct customer interaction, maintaining the visual standards of the store, and ensuring efficient store operations to drive sales and customer loyalty.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Proactively engage with customers to offer personalized assistance, guidance on product selection, and styling advice. Provide detailed information on product features, benefits, and promotions, while also professionally and courteously resolving any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Store Operations and Merchandising: Execute daily store operations, including the effective handling of stock replenishment on the sales floor. This involves organizing shelves and displays to maintain visual merchandising standards, processing new shipments, and assisting with accurate tagging of all merchandise.
  • Inventory Management: Actively participate in inventory tracking and control activities, which may include conducting regular stock counts, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate inventory levels are maintained to prevent stockouts.
  • Checkout and Point-of-Sale: Manage all aspects of the billing and checkout process with a high degree of accuracy. This includes processing various forms of payment, handling cash and card transactions, and promoting loyalty programs or special offers to customers at the point of sale.

Education Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to take initiative and go above and beyond for the customer.
  • Foundational knowledge of retail operations and sales principles.
