Restaurant Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Chinese restaurant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the restaurant team, maintaining service standards, managing daily operations and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall daily operation of the restaurant.
• Lead, manage and motivate the front-of-house team.
• Manage staff deployment and daily work schedules.
• Ensure high standards of customer service.
• Monitor restaurant service quality and operational standards.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve operational issues professionally.
• Monitor sales performance and support the achievement of business targets.
• Assist with cost control and minimise operational wastage.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with the kitchen team.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Train and develop restaurant staff.
• Conduct team briefings and communicate operational updates.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Support promotional activities and restaurant initiatives.
• Prepare operational reports and provide feedback to management.
• Carry out other duties assigned by senior management.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in restaurant management or F&B operations.
• Chinese restaurant experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Good understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of staff scheduling and manpower management.
• Understanding of restaurant cost control and inventory management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and high-volume restaurant environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
