Description
The Senior Resource Manager is responsible for leading global workforce planning, resource optimization, and allocation governance across the organization. Operating within a centralized Global Resource Management function based in India, this role partners with senior business and delivery leaders across Americas, EMEA, APAC, and India to ensure workforce strategies align with organizational growth objectives.
The Senior Resource Manager provides strategic oversight of resource planning activities, drives utilization performance, leads capacity planning initiatives, and serves as a trusted advisor on workforce decisions and talent deployment strategies.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Lead workforce planning activities across regions, practices, and business units.
- Develop resource strategies to balance demand, supply, utilization, and business growth objectives.
- Drive quarterly and annual capacity planning processes.
- Identify workforce risks, skill gaps, succession needs, and future hiring requirements.
- Recommend workforce optimization strategies including hiring, redeployment, cross-skilling, and contractor utilization.
Global Resource Governance
- Establish and drive resource management standards, processes, and governance practices globally.
- Ensure consistent staffing approaches across regions and practices.
- Lead resource review forums and workforce planning discussions with leadership teams.
- Resolve escalated staffing conflicts and complex allocation decisions.
Leadership & Business Partnership
- Partner with senior delivery leaders, practice leaders, account leaders, and business executives on workforce strategy.
- Provide workforce insights and recommendations that support revenue growth and delivery performance.
- Influence decision-making through data-driven workforce analytics.
- Coach and mentor Resource Managers and workforce planning professionals.
Workforce Analytics & Executive Reporting
- Own workforce planning dashboards, utilization reporting, forecasting models, and executive scorecards.
- Analyze workforce trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators Including
- Utilization
- Fulfillment performance
- Capacity health
- Forecast accuracy
- Bench management
- Workforce productivity
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to improve workforce planning maturity and operational efficiency.
- Drive automation and reporting enhancements within the Resource Management function.
- Support organizational growth and transformation initiatives through scalable workforce planning practices.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation across resource management processes.
Basic Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Professional Services Operations, PMO, or Delivery Operations.
- Proven experience supporting complex global delivery organizations.
- Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, utilization management, forecasting, and resource optimization.
- Experience leading workforce planning initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
