About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Resource Management Leader (RMG) to drive enterprise-wide resource planning, allocation, and utilization across the organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring optimal workforce utilization, aligning resource capacity with business demand, and enabling efficient project delivery through strong resource governance.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Resource Management Group (RMG) functions, including capacity planning, demand forecasting, and workforce optimization, along with the ability to collaborate across business, delivery, and L&D teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Management

  • Lead and own the Resource Management function (RMG), driving end-to-end resource planning, allocation, and capacity management
  • Develop and implement resource forecasting models to align workforce supply with project demand
  • Ensure optimal resource utilization by managing allocations, reducing bench, and improving billability
  • Monitor and track resource utilization metrics, bench strength, and fulfillment efficiency
  • Collaborate with business leaders to anticipate resource needs and ensure timely staffing of projects
  • Work closely with L&D to identify skill gaps and drive reskilling/upskilling initiatives
  • Maintain a centralized view of resource availability, skills inventory, and deployment status

Governance & Delivery Alignment

  • Support project delivery by ensuring right resources are allocated at the right time
  • Establish and enforce resource governance frameworks, policies, and KPIs
  • Align resource management practices with CMMI Level 3 standards
  • Track and report resource-related KPIs and dashboards for leadership review
  • Identify and mitigate resource-related risks, including shortages, overutilization, and skill mismatches

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with PMO, delivery, and business teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Engage with leadership to provide insights on capacity, hiring needs, and workforce planning
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve resource efficiency and delivery outcomes

Continuous Improvement & Optimization

  • Drive initiatives to improve resource utilization, allocation efficiency, and workforce productivity
  • Implement best practices in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and workforce analytics
  • Enhance processes for faster fulfillment and better resource visibility
  • Leverage tools like Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and dashboards for tracking and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in Resource Management (RMG) with strong exposure to capacity planning and workforce management
  • Proven expertise in resource allocation, utilization tracking, and demand forecasting
  • Experience working in CMMI Level 3 (or higher) environments
  • Strong understanding of project delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) from a resource planning perspective
  • Certification such as PMP / PRINCE2 / Scrum Master
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and MS Office
  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Experience in IT services / consulting environments is highly preferred
