In this role, you will work closely with strategic customers to design, build, and deliver high-impact big data and AI solutions on modern cloud-based platforms. You will engage in short- to medium-term projects, helping organizations unlock the full value of their data through hands-on architecture, implementation, and enablement. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing responsibilities, requiring both execution excellence and advisory skills. You will contribute to production-grade solutions, reference architectures, and proof-of-value initiatives. Collaboration with engineering and support teams is central to driving successful outcomes. This is a highly impactful, billable role within a dynamic professional services environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead and deliver customer-facing big data and AI projects, including architecture design, implementation, and deployment of production-grade solutions.
- Design reference architectures, technical guides, and MVPs that address complex data engineering and analytics challenges.
- Guide customers through large-scale data platform transformations, including third-party migrations and end-to-end solution delivery.
- Provide hands-on expertise in data engineering, data science, and cloud technologies to integrate solutions with existing client systems.
- Advise customers on best practices to ensure successful adoption and long-term value from modern data platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer support teams to share product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues efficiently.
- Deliver projects to specification while maintaining a high standard of customer service and technical quality.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of experience working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, cloud-native architectures, and data lakes.
- Six or more years of experience independently designing and delivering large-scale big data architectures.
- Strong hands-on experience within the Databricks ecosystem in customer-facing, post-sales, or consulting roles.
- Proficiency in writing production-quality code using Python or Scala.
- Solid experience working across major cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and whiteboarding skills to clearly communicate technical concepts.
- Ability to design, deploy, and integrate scalable data solutions while working directly with customer stakeholders.
