Ekam Kashi is a 24-room boutique experiential hotel in Varanasi, built around purpose, detail and refined guest experience.
We are not a volume hotel. We focus on depth service precision, systems clarity, and a strong cultural narrative.
We are now hiring a Resident Manager to take complete ownership of on-ground operations and drive the hotel towards becoming one of the finest boutique experiences in the city.
Role Objective
The Resident Manager will be responsible for the overall operations and performance of the hotel, ensuring:
- Flawless guest experience
- Strong systems and process discipline
- Financial control and revenue growth
- Team leadership and culture building
- Owner reporting and accountability
This is a hands-on leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall Hotel Operations
- Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and Security
- Ensure SOP implementation across departments
- Maintain service consistency and attention to detail
2. Guest Experience & Reputation
- Drive guest satisfaction and review scores
- Handle escalations personally
- Monitor OTA rankings and feedback trends
3. Revenue & Financial Control
- Work closely with reservations and revenue team
- Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR
- Control expenses and improve GOP
- Oversee purchase, inventory and vendor management
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, train and mentor department heads
- Drive multi-tasking culture in a boutique setup
- Ensure discipline, grooming and service standards
5. Reporting & Accountability
- Daily operational reporting
- Weekly performance reviews
- Monthly P&L understanding and analysis
- Coordination with Founder and Corporate Office
Candidate Profile
- 510 years experience in hotel operations
- At least 23 years in a leadership role (Operations Manager / Resident Manager / Unit Head)
- Experience in boutique or experiential hospitality preferred
- Strong financial understanding (P&L, cost control, budgeting)
- Excellent communication skills
- High ownership mindset
