Key Responsibilities

Synthetic Chemistry & Process Development

• Perform synthesis of pigments, dyes, intermediates, and specialty chemicals
• Design and execute synthetic routes based on literature surveys and feasibility studies
• Scale up laboratory reactions to pilot-level production
• Optimize reaction conditions for yield, purity, and cost efficiency

Pigment Application & Plastic Processing

• Conduct pigment dispersion and evaluation in plastic matrices
• Operate Two Roll Mill, Injection Moulding Machine, and Hydraulic Press for pigment testing
• Perform ISBM trials for colour consistency, dispersion quality, and mechanical performance
• Develop customized pigment solutions for plastic moulding applications

Research & Feasibility Studies

• Conduct detailed literature reviews for new product development
• Assess availability of raw materials and prepare RMC sheets for costing
• Evaluate technical feasibility of new compounds and intermediates

Purification & Isolation Techniques

• Carry out purification using column chromatography, vacuum distillation, and crystallization
• Ensure high purity standards for final products

Analytical & Structure Elucidation

• Interpret analytical data using NMR, IR, HPLC, GC, and Mass Spectrometry
• Perform structural confirmation and impurity profiling
• Ensure accurate documentation of analytical results

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete documentation as per Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
• Prepare detailed lab reports, batch records, and technical summaries
• Maintain laboratory equipment logs and calibration records

New Product Development

• Develop innovative pigment formulations for plastics, paints, and inks
• Collaborate with production and marketing teams for product commercialization
• Support product design improvements and performance enhancement initiatives

Communication & Reporting

• Present research findings to internal stakeholders
• Prepare technical presentations and product data sheets
• Provide technical support to customers and cross-functional teams
